Private Label Rights and eBay – The Magic Formula?

By: James Penn

There are many drawbacks to selling eBooks on eBay; the main one being the very high competition and therefore highly reduced prices that you are forced to charge in order to see any form of sales. The majority of sellers would accept this fact and just go along with their eBay business making very tiny, if any, profits and for a lot of hard work and effort… but not me and not you after you read this article.

There is a way to exploit the vastly reduced selling prices on eBay, and here’s how to do it.

First you need to invest in some private label eBooks. These eBooks could be about a small niche subject or a very large niche (such as making money online or the health and fitness niche), it doesn’t matter. The truth of the matter is any eBook sells on eBay if it is marketed in the right way.

Once you have the private label eBooks, read through them and add links to your website, to affiliate programmes or any other places you would like to.

Convert your eBook from a word document into a PDF document. This ensures the content can not be changed or manipulated and your links will always remain in place. Go and list your item on eBay! Most private label eBooks come with ready made sales pages so you can simply upload that to eBay, set a price, and your item, with your links, is placed on one of the busiest websites in the world! Setting your price is one of the most important aspects of this system. If you set it too high, you don’t sell any copies but if you set it too low you’ve already killed the market.

Set a price that you think is reasonable and that most prospects are prepared to pay.Consider this scenario. You sell 10 copies per week at £5 and 10% of people who buy the book resell it with your links. Gradually the price will be driven down to a measly 99p or 1p in some cases and your eBook will be being sold hundreds of times every week on eBay. But how are you profiting from this system? Firstly, you’ve made a quick £50 but that’s not a life changing amount of money.

Most importantly, you had links in the eBook to your website and affiliate programmes. If a reader of the book clicked a link and bought a product you receive a commission or a payment directly into your paypal account. It’s all about profiting from the backend. Why don’t I just sell the eBook for 1p from the start? I imagine you are asking. Firstly, you wouldn’t make the first £50 but secondly, and most importantly, you’ve already killed the market. It would not be profitable for a buyer to buy your book for 1p and go and sell it for £5 because you would dominate the market with your severely low price. With the initial method of selling for £5, you would make a quick £50 (at least) and you would have an army of sellers below you selling the same book.

Eventually the price will be driven down to 1p because of the competition, but you can make the most of it before this happens. eBay is so perfect for this profit generating system because of the high volume of sellers looking to sell eBooks. Your eBook will burn through eBay like wildfire. It will be read hundreds of times per week and you will make sales every single day.

This eBook could set you up for years! But why have just one eBook flying around eBay when you could have 10 or 15 or 100! The Secret to the Rich Jerk’s Success

We’ve all seen this Rich Jerk guy floating around the net claiming he’s worth millions. Whether or not it’s true, no one knows for sure.
But one thing we do know is that the Rich Jerk is popular. He’s well known and he’s selling tons of copies of his ebook that has now become infamous within the internet marketing community.
So how exactly did he achieve such phenomenal success? How does he expand his reach across a wide spread audience to pull in thousands of potential customers every single day?
Is it a revolutionary tactic that only a handful of marketing geniuses on the planet are capable of performing? Of course not. The Rich Jerk is successful primarily due to one thing: branding.
While you may be inclined to think branding is nothing more than a fancy logo or a spiffy business description, branding is actually a whole lot more.
The Rich Jerk has managed to create a tremendous buzz around his product because he’s branded himself effectively. He’s been able to surpass his competitors, create a unique model for his product, and has laid a solid foundation from which he can expand his business from.
To brand your business like the Rich Jerk you need to define who you are, what you do, how you do it, and your unique selling proposition or USP. This is what makes you different from your competitors and why customers should buy from you rather than someone else.
While this may seem daunting at first, it’s not really that difficult once you give it some focus.
For example, Holiday Inn and the Ritz Carlton are both hotels but they cater to two different types of people. One is for the average person or family looking to stay overnight on a budget, while the other is geared more towards business executives and celebrities.
While you may not have the resources these companies have, you can still create a memorable reputation for yourself by branding your business effectively.
The most important thing to strive for here is to stand out and be unique. People are attracted to almost anything if they know it’s rare.
While the concept of selling a product that teaches people how to make money online is not uncommon, the style of marketing that the Rich Jerk has chosen is very distinctive.
What other marketer do you know encourages people to buy his competitor’s product first because he’s confident you’ll fail with those and come crawling back to his?
It’s all about being creative and being original. Look at what others have done and then do something completely different. In this case, the Rich Jerk pretty much does the opposite of what most other marketers do.
Take his slogan or mission statement for example, it reads: “I’m better than you because I am rich.”
Again, you never see other marketers write things like that. This is why people are more drawn to the Rich Jerk over other products. He’s branded himself effectively and people have remembered it.

Creative Ways To Make Money With eBooks

How creative are you when it comes to making money and increasing your subscribers using ebooks or other digital products?
Here are some tips on how to increase your profits with ebooks.
You could show your prospects a sample page out of your ebook. This will make your prospects curious to buy. You could even give away a free version of the ebook and then give people an option of buying the paid version. Also let others give away the free version of your ebook.
You could divide your ebook content into reports then give people the option of just purchasing the info they want. Or you could charge people a low price to read half of your ebook. If they like it, they can pay full price to read the other half.
You could also earn extra profits from selling monthly updates of your ebook. You could also back end sell the extra never released chapters of your e-book.
You could redesign your ebook for specific niches. You can create multiple profits with very little work. Ex: Turn a business ebook into a craft business ebook. You could then divide your ebook into online newsletter issues. You could charge a reoccurring monthly subscription for people to view each issue.
You could give your prospects discount coupons on other products when they purchase your ebook. It could be your products or others that you made deals with. You could also offer freebies that are related to the ebook your selling. It could be free monthly ebook updates, free e-zine, free consulting, etc.
You could offer the reprint rights to your ebook. You can sell the rights with the regular purchase price or as a separate higher price.
You could make your ebook available for offline people. Your could turn it into a print book, report, video, audio book, print newsletter, etc.
But many people agree that one of the best way to increase your profits and sales is to bundle many products or services together into one package. You could purchase reprint rights to other people's ebooks an combine them with your in a large package deal or private ebook library web site.
This gives people more reasons to buy your products and services. People also have come to believe package deals are a better value. You want all the products or services to be closely related. For example: if you're selling a computer you could add in software, hardware, computer furniture, etc.
There are many ways to go about choosing the right products or services to bundle into one package. You could survey your customers and see what products or services they would like you to offer in the future. Spy on your competition and see what products and services they're offering or not offering. If you would like to, bundle unrelated products or services together, ask your customers which ones would be of interest to them.
Bundling can also increase your target markets which in return would give you a larger audience to sell your products and services. For example: if you're selling a baseball magazine you could add a free baseball when someone buys a subscription. You're now targeting people who want the baseball magazine and those that want to play baseball out in the yard. Some people buy a package deal just to get one of the products.
There are many sources where you can find products and services to create a package deal. You can buy them from wholesalers or drop shippers. You can buy the reproduction/resell rights to other people's products. Team-up with your competition to create a package deal. You could joint venture or cross promotion deal with other businesses. You could also create your own products and services. Be creative!

The Income Magic of Ebooks

Information sells well – online and offline. The difference is that online information gives the reader instant gratification. You just point, click and read. No traveling to bookstores or waiting for your order to come in.
So how do you harness this power? How do you make this work for you?
Ebooks are a powerful viral marketing, affiliate marketing and direct response marketing technique in one package.
Just imagine selling your ebook to a customer but the income doesn’t stop there. You have back links in the book (affiliate links) pointing to other software and information products your reader may need. You have also added this customer to your list, which allows you to market to them in the future.
Never recommend a product or information that you haven’t already read or used yourself. These are your readers who will come to depend upon your recommendations and when those recommendations result in something that is valueless you have lost not only one sale but many down the road.
There are no copy costs, delivery costs, postage costs, printing costs and friends can share freely across the Internet, from sea to shining sea!
The first thing you must have is an ebook over which you have master rights. This isn’t the time or the place to discuss the ins and outs of resale rights but suffice it to say you must own this piece of property. This is an ebook you’ve either purchased Master Resale Rights to or you’ve authored yourself.
Ebooks are also viral marketing products. You can set them up so they are given away between friends and each of the affiliate links in the book remains yours. You can offer an ebook through a tell-a-friend script on your site – when your customer tells three friends about your site they get a free book that they can also giveaway.
You can give this book away on other people’s sites (who have similar content), through other peoples lists (joint venture), on forums and chat groups and in your signature line. Don’t underestimate the power of valuable information being passed from person to person. Especially when that information is NOT about Internet Marketing. Find a niche that is under exposed with a large audience and you’ve got the real makings of a virus!
Your abilities to use ebooks are only limited by your imagination. Brainstorm with another person and think outside the box. How else can you use a product you’ve developed once, to generate another income stream?
The most important piece to this puzzle is to take action on your ideas. Ideas, no matter how good, are useless if they are not acted upon.

Selling EBooks Cheap !

Why Selling EBooks Cheap May not be a Bad Idea

Selling eBooks on eBay offers a tremendous entrepreneurial opportunity. Often, eBooks can be purchased inexpensively with resell rights intact and then re-sold the eBay buying public at a price that generates a significant profit.
There are, however, those who are selling eBooks on eBay for incredibly low prices. Sometimes it does not appear as if the price requested would even cover a listing fee! Considering eBooks are generally digitally delivered, there is no room for profit via shipping, either. Why are eBook sellers doing this?
There are a few potential answers to why so many eBooks are available on eBay at very low prices. First, many sellers are generating profit simply through volume. Though it may look like the cost of the auction approximates that amount of money generated by the sale, some sellers are actually operating in a way that provides them with a slight profit margin on these sales. These people are often working with digital delivery systems and other automated tools and have discovered that a “robotic” eBook selling presence on eBay is a nice way to earn some extra revenue with very little personal attention required.
The second reason for low-priced eBooks on eBay has nothing to do with making a profit on the book sales. Instead, marketers are attempting to build a list of people interested in the topic matter of the eBook. This is particularly true in many cases where the subject matter of the eBook is related to online moneymaking strategies. Successful internet marketers will tell you that “the money is in the list.” They use the emails gathered from the sales of the cheap eBook as a list of potential prospects to whom they can send future, more lucrative offers. This may involve sending a “miniaturized” eBook for a few pennies from an eBay sale and then following up with an offer for a more comprehensive look at the subject (which is more lucrative for the seller). Others may simply “pitch” future offerings at those who have bought the cheap eBooks via eBay.
Another potential rationale for cheap eBook sales stems from the actual contents of the eBooks. One can author an eBook that includes affiliate links for products. An eBook seller may sell a title for a few pennies that includes a series of links to sites where supporting products may be purchased. If anyone makes a purchase from one of these links, the eBook provider generates a commission on the sale. This strategy has been used with some success by many eBook sellers.
Many of those who enter the eBay marketplace to sell eBooks view the sale of eBooks at a healthy margin as the recipe for success. However, as these three examples demonstrate, there are other ways of taking eBook sales and transforming them into moneymakers even when the per-sale profit margin is slim (or in some cases, nonexistent). By using eBooks as a way to a financial end, a smart eBook seller can find a way to make cheap sales a profitable venture.

Get Free Ebooks to Resell on eBay!!!

Ebay Ebook Success Tips: Get Free Ebooks to Resell on eBay!!!

With the spiraling eBay fees and competitive pricing, the last thing eBay ebook sellers want to worry about is buying new resellable content. However, there are many sources that you may not have thought about which provide you with free resellable ebooks that you can successfully add to your inventory. This article details just a few of them.
1) Ebay:- That's right eBay is a great source to pick up free ebooks (OK they're not quite free but very cheap). Many ebook sellers run auctions that start at 1p to attract customers. If nobody bids on these auctions you can pick up a very cheap resellable ebook.
Furthermore, some sellers run 1p ebook listings in their eBay store. That means that you can actually purchase the item as a Buy It Now for 1p and in some cases receive it instantly. Again another way to pick up a very cheap resellable ebook, courtesy of eBay. Do a search on eBay for "ebooks, resell" or something similar, and then list them lowest priced first to see what you find.
2) Newsletters:- When you signed up for this newsletter I gave you two free ebooks. Some newsletters that I am currently a member of give me 5 free ebooks every week. I would recommend joining ebook related newsletters as not only do you receive valuable tips from that ebook seller, you also get free products to add to your eBay store. Have a browse through eBay for the top ebook sellers. If they have a newsletter join it. It costs nothing and you are likely to benefit greatly.
3) Ebooks:- Usually when you buy a new ebook it contains links to many bonus ebooks with resell rights. Although you may have to pay for the first ebook, this is another way to get a plentiful collection of free resellable ebooks.
4) Online Forums:- Many users at online forums will give away free resellable ebooks or give away links that allow you to access free ebooks with resell rights. Just have a browse through the posts and see what you can find.
5) Ebook Websites:- Many websites that sell ebooks have a free download page. From this you can download free ebooks which quite often come with resell rights. Type "resell ebooks" into Google or any other major search engines, and have a browse through these websites. I am sure you will find more than enough ebooks to keep you going for a while.
Although free ebooks with resell rights are likely to be outdated in relation to the ones you pay for they are still a good way to bulk up your inventory at relatively little cost. The larger your store inventory is as an ebook seller, the more chance that you will get a sale. If you bulk up your inventory with free resellable ebooks which you then sell alongside the more expensive, up to date, resellable ebooks you are sure to enjoy increased success. Good Luck with your Ebook Sales!!!

How to Make Money Selling Ebooks

If you are looking for ways to make money online or to expand your existing home business, selling ebooks could be just what you need. Selling ebooks is easy, affordable and there are practically no expenses (other than purchasing the ebooks). You might want to write some of the ebooks yourself to save money and to help spread the word about you and your business!
You can either purchase ebooks with or without resell rights. I would recommend buying ebooks with resell rights so your customers have an additional reason to purchase from you. They can then sell the ebooks themselves!
There are several ways you can set up your new ebook selling site or ebook store.
Sell on Ebay
You can auction off your ebooks on eBay. eBay has very specific policies on selling ebooks so be SURE to read and follow all their policies.
Offer Ebooks on Your Site
If you already have a site, you can easily offer the ebooks on your existing site. Make a folder called ebooks (or whatever you like) and upload it to your host. Upload all your ebooks into this folder. Give them keyed names so people will not be able to guess the file name.
For example: if you have an ebook called Ezine Publishing and you call the file ezinepublishing.zip, this could make it very easy for someone to "guess" the download link by the name and download the ebook for free.
You want to code the names- for example:
instead of ezine publishing, you might name the file ez-pub-32c.zip These coded names are nearly impossible for people to guess so they are unable to steal the ebook.
Then add an index page where you would introduce your ebook store to your visitors. Let them know there will be no shipping cost as they are delivered electronically. Make sure you introduce your ebook store on your site homepage as well.
You might also want to list the categories on the index page so your customers can click directly to the ebooks they are interested in. Have a short description of the ebook and a graphic (if possible). You can have a whole page for each ebook or you can put several on a page.
Go to Paypal and make up a button to put on your site for ordering. If you do not like Paypal, use any payment service you want.
**TIP - To avoid the time of making up each individual button, use the code from the first button and just change the necessary info like price, item name and code. This will save you a lot of time in setting up your ebook store.
Automatic Digital Delivery
You can purchase a program for setting up your store and having all purchases automatically delivered. This saves you a lot of time plus gives your customers the items immediately which helps with repeat sales.
One such program that does this very well is called The Digital Store. Do a search for this or automatic digital delivery ebooks and you will find a wide variety of scripts/programs to suit your needs.
Be sure to continually add new ebooks for your existing customers. We have had numerous repeat sales by doing this. Also, you might want to have a mailing list to keep people up to date of your new additions and any specials or sales you may be having.
Affiliate Programs
You can also sell other people's ebooks by joining their affiliate program. This means that for every ebook you sell, you will get a commission from the ebook owner. If you write your own ebook, you could also start your own affiliate program. To find such programs just do a search for ebook affiliate programs.
If you do purchase and/or write your own ebooks for resale, be sure and choose/write the ebooks with a lot of useful, helpful information and resources. There are a lot of ebooks that are simply full of ads and sales letters for the writer's products. You want to steer clear of these types of ebooks.
People love to buy and read good ebooks and if you offer a good selection and price, they will continue to buy from you.
